Frequently asked questions
Below are some quick answers about our 18-week at-home pelvic floor muscle training program for men with urinary leakage.
1. What is pelvic floor muscle training?
Pelvic floor muscle training is a set of gentle squeezes and relaxations of the muscles that support your bladder. Over time, these exercises help those muscles work more strongly and reliably, so you have fewer leaks.
2. How long does the program last?
The program runs for 18 weeks. This gives your pelvic floor enough time to get stronger and for you to notice steady, lasting improvements.
3. How can this help my urinary incontinence?
Stronger pelvic floor muscles can better hold back urine when you cough, move, or feel a sudden urge. Many men notice fewer leaks, less rushing to the bathroom, and more confidence in daily life.
4. Where do I do the exercises?
All exercises are designed to be done at home. You can practice in private, in everyday positions like sitting on a chair or lying on your bed.
5. Do I need any special equipment?
No special equipment is required. You only need a comfortable place to sit or lie down and a few quiet minutes to focus on the exercises.
6. How much time does it take each day?
Most men spend about 10–15 minutes a day on the exercises, split into short sessions. You can fit them around work, family, and other daily activities.
7. Is it safe? When should I talk to a doctor?
Pelvic floor exercises are gentle and safe for most men. If you have pain, recent surgery, or heart or pelvic conditions, or if your leakage suddenly worsens, speak with your doctor before starting or continuing the program.
